Battery

What type of battery is used in a WAFERLOCK Lock?
WAFERLOCK C760 Smart Cylinder comes with a CR2 lithium battery.

How long will the battery last?
It is recommended to replace the smart lock batteries annually.

What if the battery dies?
Before the battery dies, the APP will send the low battery notification, if the lock is under standalone mode, you will hear 3 beeps for 5 times every time you unlock. The battery usually can hold for one to two weeks after the alert comes up, therefore, you will have enough time to replace the battery. 

How to replace the battery: 
1. Fully insert the hexagon key and simultaneously turn the screw clockwise to loosen the cover (screw will go inside).
2. Pull out the cover forcefully.
3. Turning the screw anti-clockwise (screw will come out) to tighten the cover.

*To achieve waterproofing, the screw must be tightened and avoid the humidity permeating the battery compartment.
* Pay attention to avoid touching/damaging the LED of the pin code number.
* All the settings will remain the same after replacing the battery. If  not, please try to unpair the lock with App first and re-pair again.

*During the programming process, please HOLD the programming card close to the reader without pressing it, as pressing may activate the PIN code feature instead of the programming feature.

How do I lock the door when I leave the house/property?
After closing the door, obtain the access right with keycard/key tag, pincode or APP first and then  rotate the knob manually to lock the deadbolt/door.

GERNERAL

Does the lock have a physical backup key?
No, the lock does not include the mechanical key override. It can only be unlocked by entering the pin code, the keycard, tag or the APP.

Is it possible to have a gateway to access locks remotely? 
Yes, our locks are compatible with the WAFERLOCK R400 gateway.

What if the programming card is lost?
If the programming card is lost, it will need to be reset using a computer or reissued. Please provide your address via email at support@waferlock.com,  and we will recommend a local dealer for assistance.
   -If the lock is not paired with the app, all settings rely on the programming card, requiring a reset by an on-site technician.
   -If the lock is paired with the app, unpairing will restore factory settings, and you can purchase a new programming card.
